As highlighted by his bizarre rush out of goal to allow Sadio Mane to score in the Champions League, Neuer is prone to rushes of blood at inopportune times.

Tends to look to punch rather than catch most of the time. His catching must be suspect, simply because he rarely tries to catch anything but the most simple of balls.

His distribution is also not as good as it was when he was at his peak. He is being left behind by the new wave of sweeper keepers coming through.

Very good agility but he seems to have lost a step because of injuries.

Though he has not had the sternest of tests since moving to Liverpool, when called upon to save a shot he has not let the team down. In fact he has pulled a couple of worldies out of the bag.
