Decent in the air when he has a run and leap, as his leap is excellent. However he is not tall enough to win a standing battle with a big opponent.

Strong and aggressive in the tackle, however he can often be over-aggressive.

Decent on the ball, which is why he is able to slot in at full-back without too many issues.

Strong enough to ensure that, added to his natural aggression, he is very rarely outdone in a physical battle.

Quick enough to be a passable full-back but not exceptionally so.

Strong in the air, though not as strong as he once was, nowadays his legs are clearly not there and his leap is not the same as it used to be.

Used to be an excellent tackler but his timing is a bit off these days. The mind sees the chance to put a foot in but the body is slower to react.

One thing he still has is his ability on the ball and a good range of passing to allow City to build from the back.

Still strong, though overly reliant on his physicality.

Quick for a centre back but no longer quite as quick as he was. Injuries and age have really taken a toll on him.
